Sympathy for the Devil covered by Guns N Roses. (the Rolling Stones). The original version was not dark enough, and Jagger's voice sounded like he got kicked in the jimmies. Axl & Co. really cranked it up, made it dark and evil, and the smooth to savage range of Axl's voice lent itself to the song much better than trying to scream it like a little girl.

It's not very often that I will like the cover better than the original. I can name a long list of covers that I really don't like in comparison to the original. Either it completely changes the song, or it's basically the same and therefore not necessary. I'm still thinking and I haven't come up with one yet. Hm...

Tessie-Dropkick Murphys (haha-so NOT a real cover, because the original was a song from a play or something, but I had to say it for the sake of it being the play-offs.)
For real-
THE BEST ONE- "Maggies Farm" -Rage Against the Machine (Original by Bob Dylan?) Cause the original is kinda boring and folky, and I love how RATM pumped it up and made it lively.
An okay one-
Sirsy's cover of Radiohead's "Creep" It's pretty good, but still not better than the original.
About the same as each other-
Weezer- "Where is My Mind" (original by the Pixies)
