My grandmother use to say "Remember, when you are pointing the finger at someone, 4 fingers are pointing back at you". (If you make your fist and point with index finger, you will notice rest are pointing back at yourself.)

My Grandparents have taught me about love and respect. My Grandfather has taught me some about WWII, and what it is like to be a prisoner of war. My Grandmother has taught me many things in the Christian religion, as well as the things that interest her in life. Both have taught me some funny jokes, and have shared some hillarious stories!

My grandparents taught me to love mankind and follow the path of truth as long as you can like a royal person.
They also taught me that begging is a easiest job so never follow this track, try to give something to your society irrespective of what they are giving to you.

My grandmother taught me lots of things about how healing different herbs can be. Her grandmother was a full blooded Native American. What she didn't learn from her own grandmother, she taught herself from books. It can be really helpful information when nothing else is working for an illness.

My grandmother taught me the importance of strength... she has overcome so many struggles and she continues to be just as strong now (well into her 80's) as she was in her 20's when she was an immigrant from Italy, raising children alone here in the US.

My late grandmother taught me to have fun always and not think of myself as too old to do things. She also taught me Low German (a little). My still living grandmother taught me how to bake and correctly wrap parents.

How to be faithful to one person your entire life. How to eat a dozen of Gran's cookies in one setting. How Gramps avoided being drafted by the Army during WWII (he joined the Navy instead, just so he could choose instead of being told.) How to eat the worst chili ever and pretend to like it so you didn't hurt Gran's feelings. How to save shoebox after shoebox after shoebox of old pictures, and somehow know where each picture was anyways. How to talk Gramps and Gran into letting you have ice cream and pie for dessert when you didn't eat any dinner.

My grandfather told me, when I was about 10, that there will always be some people better than me at something, but I will always be better than a lot of people. I still remember him saying that, and I think it gave me healthy self-esteem and healthy expectations of myself.
He also constantly told me, "Its just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor one," encouraging me in this direction. I now have a rich boyfriend and a very comfortable, nice life...
Thanks Grampy! ha ha! ;)
