What it comes down to is if your opinion doesn't benefit another race, then you get called a racist. I agree with you on the immigration issue. My best friend's parents came from Ecuador and did things legally.

I'm not saying that you are racist, but it does certainly seem fishy to me in general when people seem to get so upset about Mexicans coming to the United States but not upset about the large numbers of illegal immigrants that come from other backgrounds or by other means. After all, until recently (and it might still be so) there were more illegal immigrants who came on visas and then let their visas expire than there were who swam across the river. So in my mind, when people get especially excited about illegal immigration from Mexico this could very well be a sign of racism. I certainly hope this isn't true with you.
I used to watch the Spanish-language news a lot, and I remember that President Bush and Presidente Fox were working out a guest worker program that I thought would help with some immigration issues. Then Sept. 11, 2001 happened, and I think the attention of the United States got shifted away from immigration for a long time, and we're now just returning to the place where we were. In my opinion this is another way the Sept. 11 terrorists have harmed our country: delaying immigration progress.

It's a total red-herring argument but a convenient way to demonize the person and their position.
I'm all for illegal immigration however.
As long as it's a 2-way street.
I believe US citizens should be able to enter into our neighboring countries, or any other nation that contributes illegal immigrants with no required paperwork, and further, should be able to purchase all the real estate they would like, get that nation to pay for their children's education, their healthcare costs, and translate all signs and instructions into English as well.
Nothing racial about it, and btw, we only have 3 races-
*******, caucasoid, and mongoloid technically.
No specific country or family name denotes a race.
Just as there are black-haired Irish, there are blonde Mexicans and Brazilians with Asiatic features.
Every nation in this world has immigration laws that they enforce- why should we be any different??

Because the majority of the illegals are not white, so they can call the racist card to get in easier. Now if it was a pack full of whites trying to get in, there would be no problem shutting the back door of illegal immigrants easy access.

Most people want stricter immigration for racist reason. It may not be your feeling, but it is for many.
