Wild Wild West is probably the cheapest that is close to the strip. It is owned by the Stations Casinos. If you have a CDL you can get a room for under 20 bucks a night. Not the fanciest place but not too bad either.

The cheapest would be off the strip somewhere, but I like staying on the Strip. The Sahara is usually way cheap AND it has its own stop for the light rail. Reasonably clean, have their own casino, food, roller coaster, pool, coffee shop. Its older, but really, how much time do you spend in your room? Its nice to stay on the strip because you don't have to drive anywhere, you have endless bars, casinos, buffets, shows, or you can just check out the hotels.

If your not coming by car, and don't plan on renting one while here in Vegas. But you want to be with in walking of the strip, check out The El Cortze down on Freemount street. If your coming by car, Arizona Charlie's on Decatur is cheap and there's a 24 hour coffee shop in side, famous for their $ 2.99 steak and egg breakfast. There's a sub way and their all -u- can eat buffet is cheap also. Breakfast $ 4.99 Lunch $ 5.99 and Dinner $ 6.99 and there is a Wal-Marts and Target and CVS, McDonalds and Star Bucks all with in 10 mins of walking. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are all very clean and ask to stay in the north side if you go with Charlies and say "Hi" if you see me ( i work there)........lol

The Orleans, Gold Coast and anyplace downtown (except the Golden Nugget, which is priced comparable to strip hotels these days). I highly recommend either the Orleans or Main Street Station (downtown).

try Diamond Inn on The Strip , they claim to have good rates . I stayed at the Vagabond Inn , but it was bad so i wont suggest it to anyone. If you are going in the low season you should scout for deals from good hotels coz they all go rock bottom then and its worth it. try www.travelworm.com and also compare the deals with the hotel websites .
