Well.... the book The DaVinci Code is a fiction. However, the it was based on real facts. Some have been proven scientifically, according to myth, belief, etc. It really is depend on your own opinion, actually. Besides The DaVinci Code, there are other books that insist Jesus married Mary Magdalene and has a daughter named Sarah. And that their bloodline is still continued. But of course the church has called this blasphemy. According to Jesus/Mary Magdalene believer, there was a missing part of the Bible.
As quoted from the book, Napoleon Bonaparte once said, "History is just a fable agreed upon". The winner of the war, will be the one who will then tell the story the way they want it to be remembered.

It is a real farce. People have been trying to disprove that Jesus lived, that He was God's Son, that He was the Messiah, that He performed miracles, and that He rose from the dead.
Just remember the main proof that Jesus was just a human... His friends stole his body from the tomb and snuck off with him.
Doesn't make sense that some friends who knew Him would 1st, steal his body, 2nd, keep preaching until they were put to death because of it, knowing it was a lie. People just don't die to prove that a lie they have been telling for several years is true. They knew Him and knew who and what He was. 3rd, at that time, the Roman guards who were 'asleep' while all this was going on, would have been executed immediately upon discovery that they had allowed it to happen. In that day and time, the Roman's did not allow guards to fail in thier duty. Any time an incident was discovered where a prisoner escaped, or anything like that, the guards were all executed. That is documented facts of history and it is to be noted that the guards at Jesus's tomb were NOT executed.

It's a fictional novel. Some of the "facts" presented in the book are interesting and would be cool if we could prove them to be facts. I think the sad part is that Dan didn't even really come to these conclusions himself. He stole the ideas from other people. Yeah, it happens all the time and the book was interesting (the end was kind of anti-climactic) and it presents the ideas well. *shrugs*

The Da Vinci Code are secret messages and codes found hidden in artworks of Leonardo Da Vinci. Many of his religious paintings revealed secrets from the Bible. Most of his paintings surrounds the mystery life and identity of Jesus. Leonardo Da Vinci was part of an underground society (Priory of Sion ) who supposely are protecting the true identity of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and their descendants. Two famous controversial religious paintings were The Last Supper and Madonna On The Rocks. Many historians are still trying to uncover secret messages and codes, which were believed to be left behind by Leonardo Da Vinci 488 years after his death.
Skeptics reasoned this phenomenon as ludicrous and these paintings were subject to bias interpretation.
The novel was excellent. I highly recommend you should read it. It is a fictional novel, however, the facts are true (many people may disagree). The paintings do exist, I have seen these two paintings myself and I suppose you just have to judge it for yourself.

nope it's a story which was turned into a hollywood movie. Then the show alias used the gist of the DiVinci Code and twisted it. I'm sure there are realistic similarities but the guy who wrote the book stole, oh I'm sorry, "borrowed" some of his "thoughts" from another book. This book was written before the Divinci code was.

It is a historical fiction, in which Dan Brown mixed in with a lot of conspiracy theories, which his books are mostly are about.
The thing with conspiracy theories, are that they sound so plausible as to being the truth. For a true conspiracy theorists, they will search for all clues to link everything to what he is obsessed with, like the No. 23.
For atheists, like me, i feel the idea of the book is entirely plausible, for a organization like the Church, to downplay or even to disavowed the existence of Jesus family, for it would have ben very detrimental to their power structure.
Hwever, until the so called descendant of Jesus shows him/herself and DNA testing has been confirmed his identity, the story remains a story.

No, it is a work of fiction. It uses some real historical events like many works of fiction do but it is just entertainment, nothing more.

There is some true historic facts. Christ having married and had child, pure fiction. If Christ has a bloodline it would be via his ½ siblings the children of Joseph and Mary.

No, its just another scheme of Satan to discredit Jesus Christ, get people confused and to get minds off of believing in Jesus and questioning christianity. I must admit it is working, but it is also back-firing because the more attention this issue gets, the more people will read their Bibles and their sincere search will lead them to find out the truths of Jesus' ministry and hence give their lives to Christ. Satan even knows that "the end is near" so he is trying everything possible to keep people from believing. Still not sure, if you are sincere in your heart, ask God and he will show you the path.
