I think Cleveland is set with CC/Carmona/Westbrook/Byrd.

But what about the Red Sox? Should they go with Schilling in Game 2 instead of Dice-K? Dice looked shaky in LDS. And who should start Game 4?

Game 1: Beckett vs. Sabathia
Game 2: Schilling vs. Carmona
Game 3: Matsuzaka vs. Westbrook

Red Sox are hoping to go with Wakefield in game 4 but if he can't go they will throw Lester out there for game 4. They will evaluate both pitchers during workouts on Wednesday, have a meeting with front office and coaching staff, and rosters will be announced on Thursday...not really sure about the Cleveland side of it.

I hate the Sox, but I think their best rotation would be Beckett, Schilling, Dice - K, Wakefield, Beckett, Schilling, Dice - K + entire bull pen and Beckett in a potential Game 7.

The rotation will be:

Game 1: Beckett
Game 2:Schilling
Game 3:Dice-K

Tim Wakefield is not on the DL. He was kept off the ALDS roster to let him rest his shoulder for the ALCS. He's the probable starter for game 4, but if he can't pitch then Beckett will pitch on 3 days rest.

the only problem with your analysis JG is that Wakefield is on the DL and he most likely won't play in the ALCS... I have a feeling that the Sox are going to stick with the three-pitcher rotation of Dice-K, Beckett and Schilling.

Red Sox will go with the following rotation:

Beckett
Schilling
Dice-K
Lester

Dice-K is the most likeliest pitcher to start game 3 followed by Lester in game 4. They would use Wakefield out of the bullpen for at least three games given his pitching style to confuse batters with his slow pitches. They would also use Okajima, Papelbon and Delcarmen.
