I would call global warming a environmental issue, not social.
Social issues. How much special consideration should be given to Muslim culture in schools. 1. a teacher was not allowed to wear a full head covering. 2. Students were not allow to wear scarves.
The Muslim problem in England is to get Muslims to integrate into the rest of the community instead of isolating themselves. But I think all cultures have done this when they integrate into a new community.
How China is treating the people of Tibet may not make the headlines but it is a sad situation.
