I am book smart all the way. I'm not necessarily proud of this though.... It frustrates me that I'm so naive and I find the world so hard to understand.
On the other hand, I'm not exactly an intellectual either.
So...
I'm neither very book smart or street smart, but I'm more the former than the latter

There is no such thing as "street smart". If you are truly smart, you get off the street as quickly as possible and start learning the types of things that will bring you a fulfilling life.
The street is the home of lies and deceit. Nothing of lasting value can be found there.

As custom defines it, I am well-educated, book smart, and life smart (school of hard knocks).
I have earned several degrees, plus various certificates; I taught myself how to be a computer technician, including hooking up the enhanced 9-1-1; I have driven an 80,000 lb. truck and trailer (cab, 2 trailers) over Roger's Pass, drived a caterpillar pulling logs over frozen lakes in Montana in the winter, been an offset pressman, a D.J., a newspaper reporter, taxi driver...
Seriously, folks: public schools are a total failure and a ripoff of taxpayers monies; colleges aren't much better. If you want to learn how to do things, how to live, get a book (or the internet) and LIVE your life.
