6-7 in the week is enough for me, at the weekend 8-9 as a treat. Anymore is too much although I do sometimes allow myself an afternoon nap at the weekends if I have been working hard on the garden or doing DIY.
I actually think you do less and feel worse if you exceed 9 hours.

I try to get 7. If I get less than that, I go through my day with that deep drug down feeling. If I can get 8, that's even better. More than 8 is too much for me, though. People tend to underestimate the restorative power of a good night's sleep.

My daughter began going a 4 hour stretch at around 5 weeks. (This grow to be as quickly as we moved her from the bassinet beside our mattress right into a crib.) interior the interim, to make those night feeds greater straightforward, DO save him precise via your mattress. in case you are able to only attain over and %. him up (particularly than getting up), you will all fall back to sleep lots greater truthfully. I do could desire to invite ... you're saying he's 'frequently formula fed at night.' so which you're breastfeeding the the remainder of the time? in case you desire to proceed to breastfeed for greater effective than yet another week or 2, you rather could desire to quit with the bottles at night. Your milk grant desires stimulation the two day AND night. And known bottles at this age are in all threat to deliver approximately nipple confusion and a infant who refuses to nurse. AND ... in case you nurse at night, the above-suggested 'attain over and %. infant up' is a lot greater straightforward to end ... you do no longer could desire to trek to the kitchen to make and heat a bottle whilst infant wails.

Six hours is the normal amount of sleep that I get and I should be getting at least eight to ten. I am always dragging my rear end and I look and feel tired all the time.
