Can someone explain to me in layman's terms what "false card dealing" is?

yeah it refers to dealing the bottom card or the second card from the top..or "bottoms" and "seconds"....it is a worthless practice unless you know what cards are on bottom or what the top card is. This subject is very near and dear to my heart 'cause I am a poker dealer by trade.

not dealing the next card from the top of the deck. The card dealt could be from a special holding in the middle or from the bottom.

you do not deal the card that is on the top of the deck. It is usually delt from the bottom of the deck.
