If you were to build a time machine and go to the future ,you are most likely to find yourself staring at yourself right. Because the future you has been through the process and so he will be expecting you right.

Well, what if the returned-to-normal-time-post-time-travel you remembers some bad things that happened in the future and you make sure not to be there at that time? You wouldn't see yourself then, fer shure!

And your response to J isn't very correct, unless you mean that your past self that's been through it is dead. (assuming you returned to your own time when you were finished, and didn't use the time machine again).

Of course, you could get there to find an entire baseball team's worth of your selves - all there from different points of your personal timeline - all to get together and plan world domination. The oldest version of you would be the most annoying, completing all of your sentences, reading your minds, telling you why it didn't work.

Ok - time to put down the brain candy, and get back to more scientific questions. ;)

Cheers!

This isn't the answer you'r looking for, and I would love to think there is time travel, but the sad fact is that time isn't a concrete thing that you can manipulate. The fraction of a second that just occurred is already decayed -- dead -- it can't be revived or revisited. And the future instant, just ahead of you, is already decaying. But it's a wonderful science fiction form that I love. And I'll bet another one of you would be to humanity's benefit!

You wouldn't find yourself, out there either, because your being is not replicable -- you're unique. There'll never be another face just like yours. This replicate of you in the future can't have your face or your kidneys, etc. -- you got'em.

Remember the movie, The Fly. What was his project?

Well there could be many different outcomes... its how you look at it or what you may believe what could happen. Nothing isn't certain about this type of subject because its unproven. Keep in mind that anything is possible.
On that note... If you were to see your self most likely that would result in an alternate future self. Which means the future self would be still you but a different self in all together.
My personal opinion is that if you were to go in to the future you wouldn't be able to find your self because you took your self out of your of the time line and set your self back in it the time line in the future which would result in a time line with out you.
But if you were to go back in to time that would be totally different because you would be back tracking and would actually time folding back in on it self...
Well that's my two cents... I hope that helped. :D

Ok, I just tried this and my past self in the future punched me in the face and told me to stop mucking around with time travel and get back to work or I wont ever sleep with Lisa.

So my questionis, who the hell is Lisa?
