I've still got my IBM Selectric II and a good old fashioned abacus just in case.

And I think clay tablets and hammers/chisels would bring back brevity to people's writing.

Depends on what you call computer. If you think the computer is made up of silicon chips then yes it is only a passing fad. Otherwise the computer is here to stay and will continue to evolve until perhaps it will be called something else in the future. And so will the internet.

I think people would think alot more about it before they blabbered something down if it took a couple of hours to write out a sentence....

My dad just asked me if it was time to get rid of the Commodore 64 and I told him that he would live to regret it. Those things are coming back full force.

umm no, sorry. internet and computers will probably stay..use hammers/chisels if that's what you prefer.
