They actually are still stored on your computer but they arecompressed. If you need to bring them back you can do a system restore before the date you deleted them. You can find it under your programs, assec, sys tools and then click on sys restore. It will walk your through it.

Usually in your partitioned drive as a compressed file, if you are running XP you will have this partition automatically. A system restore, or Go back will bring those files back to where they are.

I email, to the trash bin, and after so many days, they will be removed, and gone forever.

It is still there! But the PC won't let you see cause you already delete it. The only time that the data will be deleted is when you put another data to overwrite it.

Recycling Box when you delete pictures,
Trash when deleting e-mails on AOL or something.

they stay in your pc but you cannot access them...what gets deleted is a particular part of them so that you cannot access those files anymore...you can always recover those files (very hard task though) unless you format your computer

The file is just hidden waiting for more things to overwrite it...
