why do girls like mac so much? and what makeup brand do you use?

I like mac because it matches my skin tone PERFECTLY - plus I can find it everywhere. I am dark skinned (like my avatar) and it can sometimes be difficult for me to find quality makeup that matches me well. I always get compliments when I wear the foundation.

On the other hand, I am now on a limited budget (I'm in grad school) so I can't afford to buy everything. So I splurge on the essentials: foundation, powder. I love their moisturizer, but have found that oil of olay anti-aging moisturizer works just as well. Lipsticks, eye shadow, eye liner, etc. can be bought just about anywhere - so I save money by buying those things from the drugstore (Revlon, Sally Hansen, or Black Radiance).

I don't know why so many ladies out there love MAC. I think the girls behind the MAC counters dress inappropriately and their faces look painted. They don't look ugly, but their makeup is far from natural looking. You can probably measure a layer of makeup on their face. There products do have a lot of positives. Their foundations come in many different skin tones and their lip glosses are really gorgeous and long lasting.
I use mainly drugstore brands of makeup. I use Covergirl foundation and Maybelline mascara. I have an eyeliner pencil from N.Y.C. I have a couple eyeshadows from Bare Escentuals and my lip glosses are from The Body Shop and Bath & Body Works.
Out of all the fancy makeup brands, I like Dior lip colors the best, Clinique mascaras, and the Chanel foundation.
I'm 15, by the way.

I think its because its a really flashy brand - in their advertising as well as in their makeup. They have bold colors which is often really catchy. Also their makeup is good quality and some of it (lipstick, lipgloss, etc.) smells good ;) which is a big plus. Also its not as expensive as some other brands like Dior or Chanel but is still of the same quality as the more expensive brands. My favorite brand is bee-licious. I just recently discovered it and completely fell in love with it!!!! Its so great because their stuff is natural unlike mac, clinique, and other brands. Not only is it natural but its also great quality and great for your skin. Its done wonders with mine! :)

i use clinique liquid foundation and laura mercier loose powder.

i think many people love mac because of the coverage it offers. i personally think mac makeup is great when you're going out at night, but i think it's too heavy for everyday wear. they do have great eyeshadows though :) they are one of the only makeup lines that have such a big selection of eyeshadows. and their prices are quite reasonable too. i believe their studio fix powder is around $20? which is pretty cheap compared to brands such as chanel and dior which double in price.

I love MAC. Their eyeshadows have really high pigments so you can actually see them on all types of skin and last a long time. A little eyeshadow totally goes a long way. Their lipgloss are amazing and you only need to use a little powder. I pretty much just use MAC. Except when it comes to foundation. I use Maybeline mouse foundation!

The Mac brand is currently "trendy" according to fashion politics right now. Personally I like Lancome lipsticks and Christian Dior powder and foundation. Everything else I buy from the drug store. I like the colors of the brand-name make-up I use and the wear.

i consider you - mac is overhyped. its authentic that maximum of their products are reliable inclusive of eyeshadows and fluidline, yet they're quite costly. plus, their beginning and powder are too oily and supply ladies a heavy look, which isn't reliable for primary placed on. the only think of i placed on from mac is their concealer, and thats because of the fact drugstore manufacturers dont conceal up my undereye circles and different manufacturers inclusive of eeste lauder are too costly. for beginning and powder, i want Clinique. its greater lower priced than mac and that's no longer oily and can provide a organic look whilst nonetheless offering coverage. and for eyeshadows, nyx is greater lower priced and continues to be pigmented.

Mac is jsut an expensive brand... alot of singers and female artists mention in in their songs so females join the bandwagon.... plus from personal experience it's really good lip gloss it last for hours even after kissing!!!!
