Depending on your immune system and your overall health, both of the above can be true.
If your immune system is compromised, like say you have cancer and are on chemotherapy..then NO, your bone will not grow back correctly. Or if you aren't taking in adequate nutritional foods, then NO, your bones will not grow back correctly.
However, the opposite is also true. When we crack or completely break bones, extra cells are sent to the site of the break to actually make it a more dense, harder area of bone. No, your bone will never again be "perfect", but it will be stronger in the area of the break than it was prior to the break.

Well, part of it depends on the age at injury, and if the person has other problems that can affect the healing. Also, it depends on how badly it was broken--a bone that was shattered and had a lot of damage is more prone to have problems over the years. It could go either way.

HMM..
In some cases for some people,
bones will heal differently.
some peoples bones may heal slow so that may be where you found out that they heal slow.
Others are more strong boned and get over it in a couple years.
It all depends.
Good luck

My wife recently broke her ankle, again, in the same place! So I asked these same questions. Every Dr. we talked to said that it was very unusual to see the same break in the same place. They also told us that the bone at the old break site was not weaker. Could be they were just trying to pacify us, but I did not get that feeling.

I broke my little toe yet there is not something which may be achieved. you in common terms could watch for it to heal. i think of that any ruin, whether dealt with or not, can convey approximately arthritis contained in the long-term.
