Definitely. More than ever in today's society as compared to the societies in the past. Our society, especially Capitalism pushes us to find things, people and ways to complete us. We are constantly made to feel that we are alone and have to do something to fill that space inside us.
Perfection is the expectation that we are inclined or pushed towards, in which we view certain things, be it dating, relationships, grades, etc.
It is so overrated that we miss the simple and good things in front of us.

Yes, but only by people who aren't perfect. Overrating is an error, and perfect people don't make mistakes.
And imperfect people don't really understand what perfection is. So their judgement isn't worth listening to.

Perfection is in the eye of the beholder; its only a judgment, there is no such thing as absolute perfection. What is perfect today becomes ugly tomorrow. Truth is that the universe is unfolding perfectly and its only judgment that states otherwise.

Flaws provide distinction and uniqueness in people. And being in a state of perfection leaves one without a desire to better oneself and dream.

It depends. Sometimes it leads to OCD in my opinion. However, trying one's best is admirable, as long as it is not taken too far. Jesus is the only perfect one.
