Hard to say.
Those areas would receive a lot more tourism, and the people out there would have a lot more say in terms of political and social issues.
It might also be safer to have the capital so far up north.

...thats about it, really.it wouldnt make a huge difference now. maybe in the earlier years of canada it wouldve.

It would be a cold day in hell...i mean Canada....actually the real capital is on a small island on the north end of Slave Lake...4 beavers and a moose make all the decisions.....Just kidding, I like Canadians....doesn't mean I can't make fun of them...they can make fun of me, because the best beer comes from Canada.
