I would score as a Libertarian on one of those tests in all likelihood. I actually would probably agree with you on alot of the social issues, but I mostly don't support outlawing things (I do support the Partial Birth Abortion ban, but I oppose a total ban on abortions, even though I personally oppose abortion, because I accept that a woman has a right to her body and so she can evict the baby, but cannot kill it if it can survive outside of the womb; I also personally oppose smoking, drinking, and drug use, but I support legalizing them for everybody). However, libertarianism is actually not a political ideology (though it is often construed as such, in large part due to the Libertarian Party), but is rather a moral philosophy that believes that everybody owns their bodies and their property and that initiating an act of aggression against them is immoral. The fact that prohibiting consensual activities (whether of a personal or economic nature) is not practical, while true (for proof, look at the effectiveness of the War on Drugs or the underage drinking laws), is secondary to whether it is moral to do so.

Sounds like you are a social republican. I'm a Conservative and always vote Republican. Social republicans are the primary problem with the Republicans. These dim-bulbs are threatening to field a third party candidate. This can only lead to the loss of the office of President. Welcome to a sinking ship.

You probably have a high IQ as well. Most of the conservatives that I know who have taken IQ tests have scored 120 or higher. Mensa?
Almost forgot: Conservative - usually vote Republican.

conservative. As a political science graduate, i dont think we all are one party or another, but have believes which stretch the span or human reasoning. Depending on which issues are strongest to us is where we position our voting habits.
The following is an interesting exercise.... You answer a few questions then click the "find your candidate button" and the program selects the candidate who's position on the issues is most like your own... You may be surprised at what you find...Click the link below....

wait a while, lots of people change their minds, especially in college after they learn for themselves and aren't so completely influenced by their parents or peers. you may always be right wing, and that's cool.
