Yeah, I know, I'm a girl...but no I don't think it is a requirement.
If you look at older Playboys (First issues to the 90's) women did not shave. It's just a change in style, but most of the women in today's Playboys do shave.

It is not a requirement but it is a trend among younger women these days aged 12 - 30 so you can imagine that a good number of the current playmates are groomed in one manner or another especially the blondes.

That's the style these days to be clean shaven, I also remember the bacon strip, and not to show my age too much they use to have full on bush.

My wife subscribes to it. :) Yeah, most of them are bare, mostly, these days. Not a spot of hair. But they don't necessarily GO there already shaven/bare. So, not a requirement coming in, but it might be one going out. ;)
