Well me and my wife have been talking about this name everyday since we seen your question. Although we think this name is cute and could be a very nice name for a little girl we don't belive it is the name for your little sugar dumbling. I hope MY advice helps.

Okay so I just had to answer this question because Gwendolyn is my name. I absolutely love my name! I love the way it's spelled. I don't really like any of the other spellings. I saw some people said you can call her Gwennie? ....I HATE when people call me Gwennie that is an awful nick name. The majority of the people I know call me Gwen....but there are a lot of people who call me Gwendolyn as well because they love to say my full name. I get compliments on my nick name and full name all the time. Good choice! I would hate if my name was Gwendolyn Lynae...because of the Lyn lyn thing..either way you spell it it sounds weird. Sorry!. My middle name is Eve so I'm Gwendolyn Eve...you could consider that. Good Luck!
-Also someone posted above to combine them into Gwendolynae.....that sounds absolutely ridiculous it sounds like your saying Gwendolyn A.
-Gwenda and Gwenith...they both sound awful too.

The proper spelling -- and pronunciation -- is actually Gwendolen (-len ... NOT -lyn). It's a literal combination of the Welsh gwen "white, fair, blessed" and dolen "ring." Sometimes further interpreted to mean "halo."
Gwendolyn is just a common misspelling and mispronunciation spurred by the current -lyn ending trend, but it's actually quite incorrect (and basically loses the entire meaning behind the name).
Seems simply using the traditional form would be the perfect solution for you. ;)
Ps. I didn't comment on Lynae because it's simply not my style, but as far as flow is concerned, you might also consider Guinevere or Gwyneth (again, these are the proper spellings) to avoid the back-to-back -len/Lyn- sounds.
Hope that helps!

I think Gwendolyn is pretty!!
Other spellings-
Gwendolin
Gwendilyn
Gwendelyn
Gwendolyn Lynae is beautiful, and i love the significance=)
(you won't be saying the two side by side very much, so i don't think the lyn-lyn will matter much)
:)
Gwen, and Gwennie are cute nicknames as well!!

It does not matter how Gwendolyn is spelled, you will still have the lyn-lin sound, which does not sound as pretty as each name by itself. I suggest you change the Gwendolyn first name to something like Gwyneth Lynae or Gloria Lynae.

Love Gwendolyn, but not with Lynae. It sounds a bit like a toungue-twister. I'm not fond of Lynae either. What about finding a middle name for Gwendolyn?

The problem is when you say it out loud not when it's written down.
Both are such pretty names.
You could add a name in between them so there are 2 middles names:
Eg. Gwendolyn Elizabeth Lynae (Purely an example!)

the lyn-lyn is a problem.
on the net i found gwendolinne and gwendolynne... but its still the same lyn sound.
i think gwendoline is great, but theres still the lyn-lyn sound. :(
gwen is nice, but the names could run together. theres always gwenyth but i dont think its as cute as gwendolyn. you could always pick 2 middle names?
Gwendolyn Ivy Lynae (last name)
good luck with it :)
edit: and other than the lyn-lyn, i like gwendolyn lynae
