I've always thought Foo Fighters sounded best when they were acoustic, except for 2 or 3 specific songs. And by the way, the All American Rejects are in no way unique.

ellington, foo fighters and carus and the true belivers.
epicure are sort of acoustic as well, but some of their stuff is kind of depressing.

I would recommend Green Day and/or All American rejects. Green Day has songs with different personalties and All American Rejects is ummm... unique!! :)
