About 10 years ago, when I actually watched how it was made and realized what it was. I still would eat it anyway if I wasn't diabetic, but there are other things I like to eat more than cotton candy, so I gave it up because I don't need that big of a sugar spike.

A few weeks ago, some friends went to visit other friends in Ohio and brought me back cotton candy from the county fair.
That was some well-traveled cotton candy...still yummy though.

I recall eating cotton candy about 7 years ago...when I took my daughter to the Circus when it had a week long stint in our city. It still tasted good! But, alas the sticky reside bothered me more now, than it did as a kid !!
