Then why do legal Americans need a diploma, a back ground check and a physical to get a job and illegal immigrants do not?
Legal Americans are being discriminated against because of their nationality.

Because the Congress under the GOP for 12 years dind nothing to address the immigration problem--and blocked Bush's reform package this year.

Nor have the so-called "law-and-order" neoconservatives been enforcing the laws that are on the books. Its onl y in the last year, since the Democrats took over Congress, that anyone is even attempting to enforce the law.

As for the ACLU--I get your point. But this isn't something they CAN address. For an employer to require the things you mentioned is legal, as long as it goes to the ability to meet job requirements. And the fact that some employers are breaking other laws doesn't connect upp--legallly. Contrary to what some people seem to thing, the ACLU has no special powers. All they do--all they can do--is represent plaintiffs whenthere is a question of wheter civill rithts/liberties have been infringed. Legally, this situation simply isn't one they're equipped to address.

So you are saying that when conservative big business decides to ignore the law and screw the average American by illegally hiring immigrants that this is somehow the ACLU's fault?
When are the right going to wake up? The people that really own the Republican have not intention of paying an American a decent wage when they can pay an illegal a pittance. Noone on your side of the divide is ever going to close the border.

effortlessly placed, the superb to smoke isn't a constitutionally secure real interior the bill of Rights. neither is the superb tochronic. as long simply by fact the state has a valid state interest (e.g., keeping different drivers from drivers who're too youthful tochronic responsibly; keeping human beings who smoke from themselves and others from 2d-hand smoke), it could take in spite of smart action it needs (which includes, in accordance to constitutional scholars, banning smoking altogether). i'm extremely disturbed by using the comments of others related to the ACLU. i'm a conservative self sustaining. i'm now no longer a Republican simply by fact in spite of in the event that they have (somewhat over the final 8 years) abandoned any concept of financial conservatism by using working up great debts, and with their bowing right down to the religious real extremists, they have abandoned social conservatism in desire of forcing narrow religious perspectives down different individuals's throats. In any journey, i do no longer consider the positions of the ACLU on approximately 0.5 their crusades. case in point, i don't have faith the 1st replace real of unfastened speech must be study to allow lobbyists and specific interest communities to purchase off politicians with none significant obstacles that are no longer loophole-ridden. Nor do i've got faith the ACLU must be arguing to improve constitutional protections to unlawful immigrants. even nonetheless, we desire people who're keen to take aggressive stances (ACLU is just one team) arguing vehemently for the bill of Rights as a balancing element to the forestall maximum individuals from oppressing the silent minorities for whom the bill of Rights have been designed to guard. it fairly is a shame that the effect that maximum individuals have of the ACLU is in line with looking at FoxNews and listening to communicate radio. case in point, the ACLU is lambasted as being liberal for no longer keeping 2d replace rights, yet maximum individuals do no longer understand that the text textile of the 2d replace premises the superb to submit to palms on the choose of each state having a "properly regulated militia."

There are certain issues that the ACLU defends, and certain that they apparently have no interest in. Homeschool legal rights would be another issue they tend to ignore.
