Are these meaphorical chickens, or real fowl? If the feathered kind, let them come home. Don't be afraid of them, they can sense that. Carry a broom if needed to keep them away from you. Eventually, they will see you as a provider of food and won't be as hostile. If you're referring to other offspring, well, help them become more independant, but don't let them roost.

Did you leave the hen house door open, again? Where have they been since the escape? I know where you can get a fox to guard the door, if you don't want them to come home to roost.
