I recently hopped the curb in my Vibe hatchback, damaged the driver's front side tire and rim, no body damage. I had the tire and rim replaced, however I also need to replace the control arm. Now, I had the part ordered, but I know that control arms aren't parts that are often replaced. I need the car to be fixed by next week for school and work, and I'm worried the part won't be here in time, and that the costs are going to be crazy.

I have a pontiac vibe and for a control arm you are looking at around 200 for the part and it is not too hard to replace so it would maybe be about 3-4 hours of labor so you are looking at about 300 for the entire repair. no mechanic should take longer than a couple days even if they have to order the part because most parts are bought locally. dont go to the dealer for this one though because they will order it from the factory and it will take forever. believe me, i had to replace just the rear cargo cover and it took them about a week just to get the part. Anyway good luck fellow vibe'r.
