Yes, he is one of my all-time favorite authors.
I think I would have to say Needful Things.
But my all-time favorite passage within one of his books is the story within a story about the pie-eating contest in "The Dead Body" (I think that's the name of it), which was made into the movie Stand By Me. I know, I know, it's not scary, but it is hilarious, masterful storytelling!
I have read pretty much all his books and short stories, and seen most of the movie adaptations--somehow the movie never comes close to the book. Mr. King has a unique gift for painting a picture that is extremely vivid and scary in my imagination, but it somehow loses something when a visual image is put to it, or even when I try and explain the plot to someone else.

Hi Tin Woman (Cool name)
I have always enjoyed Stephen King's books and movies.
My favorite books would have to be, "Pet Sematary".
The story is very scary, sad, and pitiful.
The characters are believable:
They laugh, cry, hurt, and will overcome and do anything to get happiness back into their lives not knowing what the awful outcome will be.
The outcome for these poor people is, madness, greed, death, accusations, and a journey into a world where only evil and rage is the only the beginning of their troubles.
My favorite movie would have to be, "The Shining".
Wow, what a scary movie!
Even the music is chilling.
The characters in the movie are innocent people who are unaware what is to become of them while taking a winter job as the keepers of a very large hotel that is many miles from the nearest town.
Only a small boy who sees the visions of the ghosts of the past knows what has happened in this hotel that is full of secrets, murder, madness, and rage that continues to haunt whoever takes the job as the grounds/hotel keeper.

I like his writing a lot -- he's a master of suspense, and also a very good character writer. He's also extremely supportive of other writers; he's been kind enough to answer two of my letters in which I asked him a couple of questions about writing.
I've read only about ten of his full novels, and nearly all his short stories. My favorite novel is "The Stand," which is just a great epic book. Favorite short story is "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption," but the film version actually improved upon it narrative-wise [it's probably my favorite film of all time, by the way].
And to his credit, he readily admits he's written some crappy shlock. "It" and "The Tommyknockers" are crappy books.

particular, yet TNT's "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" isn't precisely an spectacular representation of his paintings. The action picture, Carrie, rules!!! it extremely is one among those uncommon activities whilst the action picture is extra useful than the e book.
