The paper jammed and I pulled it out, but it was so hot, it blistered my index finger!

What is your strangest copy machine injury?

Hmmm-- I think I can tell PAPER from metal and plastic. Esp since I got burned as I was yanking that paper outta there.
I can be silly and fun, but one thing I am not is stupid.

Thankfully, I don't think I have ever injured myself on a copy machine - I do use them from time to time in my job, but the paper never seems too hot when I finish a job - and when one of our readers tells me about a paper jam, I usually run to one of my colleagues immediately and let them deal with it! lol

I hope your finger feels better soon!

No, I haven't burned myself on paper before......I hope you are ok......I have received a number of injuries from our old copy machine......one day, I opened the machine to fix a paper jam....when I first reached in, the copier burned me with some type of metal box......as I continued, I was bitten by of the the rollers and lost some skin on my index finger.....and then when I was just finishing up, it shot toner in my eye.....I thought that was kinda of dirty of the copier to do myself.....but I did get the last laugh this spring when we got our new copier. I got to carry the old copier out and I dropped it on the ground only four times accidentially (wink) on the way to the dumpster....heehee........= )

no, but the computer printer at my work got jammed and almost set the paper on fire. the paper had started to turn black. you could smell smoke as well. the paper was quite hot, but didn't burn my hand. does little Mrs. Storm need me to kiss her hand and make it feel better?

That`s a new one on me. I`ve had many mishaps, but not like that. I didn`t know that the paper got that hot. Thanks for sharing, now I`ll be more careful when that happens to me.

Oh, I am so sorry about your finger. I have never injured myself, but I have had a toner cartridge incident & had to wear black ink for a day :-)
