yes a blown fuse will cause a lot of aggravation ,not damage to a car,it will cause certain things not to work right ,it could have been one that controlled an important relay or something, really the only people who know the truth on this one are the people who found and repaired it,as long as its fixed and it doesn't give any problems id be happy with it,it still doesn't sound right though, good luck with it.

You got ripped for 50 bucks. Never go back there. I gather the fuse didn't fix anything. I don't see any indication of a fuse problem in your problem explanation. Don't do any more guessing. Go to a MUFFLER / EXHAUST shop and get your cat. converter checked out. A bad cat. can set the O2 sensor code so don't mess with that till you get the cat. checked. STAY AWAY from dealers

Yes, you probably had a blown fuse. If you should take it to a reputable repair shop to find out why the fuse blew. If the cat is plugged, it could mess up the oxygen sensor. You have a much bigger problem than a blown fuse.

the oxygen sensor can primarily be the caus eof this.. as it determines how much fuel and air needs to be sent to teh engine. but being related to a fuse?? i dont think so.. if anything of a fuse.. its not even 5$ to change it. but.. if the test showed that the O2 sensor was bad, or faulty, then no.. the fuse may not have anyhting to do with it...
( i had this issue in my olde Saturn too.)

"None What So Ever!"
Bad/clogged Cat. Converter will cause back pressure in the exhaust that will mess up the o2 sensor reading, mess up mileage and stall the engine.

idk if it could be "just a fuse" but it may be your cat. converter is pluged and not letting the exhaust escape through the rest of the system...if its loud im guessing it has to be plugged and burned a hole in the pipe between the exhaust manifold and the cat. if thats where its the most loud at....
