The process is tainted now by money.
It's like a football game or any high stakes competition and everybody has a stake in the outcome. Therefore they want the best odds possible going in.
Our electoral process needs serious revamping.

Question's are chosen ahead of time, they must be as most of those running for office have far more money than brains! America will never see real debates where question's pertaining to what really ails this nation get asked. Even if they did, the politicians never give a direct answer to what question was asked, they tip-toe around it with a bunch of mumble-jumble that has absolutely nothing to do with any possible solutions to everyday American's problems. IQ test George W. Bush, the results will not be clear....the chart does not go that low on the intellectual scale. Truth is those that put him in office are clearly dumber than him, unless their ultimate goal was to destroy this nation during his two terms. During the debates, those participating should be hooked to polygraph's and the results of their answers shown on a monitor...as to truth or lies. Course you would also need the fire department on standby ready to extinguish the flames from the machines over-heating with one lie after another being continually told by the participants! Presidential debates are a joke! They side-step any question, with another question that has nothing to do with what was originally asked! An American would have to be a complete moron to see a debate as anything else!

They are biased because the whole process in intertwined. CNBC, Fox News, CNN, etc. all have money invested in certain candidates. "News" orgs are all owned by much larger corporations that have their own agenda. Therefore, they make their debates to intentionally support that agenda. Think about it. Why is Rudy the GOP front runner? What has he ever done other than be mayor during 9/11? Ah, but what does he support? He supports furthering the middle east warmongering. That plays in because the same company that owns CNBC also owns GE. GE is a large defense contractor and makes a ton of money off war. Hence why they set up Rudy with the most questions and try to make him look the best. Make sense?

Debates are somtimes favorable to a candidate when the participants seems to side with his issues. Bias is not prevented considering that there is discretion in debates.

it would be nice and would also be good if all candidates were given 5 minutes to answer a question, but don't hold your breath
they don't think the viewers attention span will last for 5 minutes a candidate

Got it. And that woman on tonights debate is the news caster for the stock market crowd. You are very funny, but I got what you said, she does look a bit racy.

All questions and topics are approved in advance by the candidates. So there is no surprise voice of the people coming up in such important events

Maria Bartiromo is a reporter for CNBC. She likes to get in good with powerful business people and politicians so she can fly around on their jets and scoop news stories.
So, you don't trust the impartial media????? LOL!

If you're not biased, you haven't been paying attention. If you like the job Bush has done, you're not only biased, you're an idiot. If you don't, you're biased in favor of patriotism, democracy, human rights, and international law.
