Free Will is more about our thoughts.
Freedom is about our deeds.
The will is free, however freedom is debatable.

It's delusional to think that whether you decide to take a walk this afternoon or not was determined a millisecond after the big bang.....makes no scientific sense, let alone common sense.
Under the doctrine of absolute pre-determination, society cannot hold us responsible if we decide to get drunk and our actions result in an automobile accident. Such incidents would have been part of a chain of causality that originated with the beginning of the universe. If we have no Free Will, there can be no responsibility and no punishments. Society could not exist.
The speculation that we have no free will defies common sense and our everyday experience of life. With the intervention of free will, our future, and thus the future of the universe, will follow a path different from the path it would have pursued without our intervention.
In addition to scientific considerations, common sense insists that Free Will exists. Who would deny that we have Free Will when we put one foot in front of the other and decide, of our own volition, of our own Free Will, to go for a walk or not go for a walk? It is clearly irrational to believe that a chain of causality (pre-determination) at the time of the Big Bang determines if we go for a walk this afternoon, or not

FREE WILL is not a Big Lie,..not even a small lie. It's true, and it comes (even unknowingly) with every decision we make. How our lives are shaped depends so much on what we do, how we function, and what we achieve. There's no such bond nor commitment made as excuse to confront our ability to act on our own free will.
Would it be conceivable to think that we don't move or act via our own force and preference, but just rather being moved and willed to act by something paranormal other than our own thought?

LOL, freewill is a expression, reguiring freedom of existance to be completely true. However A society has a united freewill to determine the course of there social order but in that instance it is a will of the majority. Indivualy we each have the ability to make indivual choices however if those choices interfere with the social order of things the consquences could revoke future choices.

I think we all have free will, but I don't think we exercise our right to it. I think of it like this: In a college lecture hall, there are no assigned seats. yet, from the first class until the semester exam, each student comes and sits in the same exact seat they sat in last time. As humans, we have the right and the ability to change things, we just don't always have the initiative.

Of course it isn't... You have the ability to do as you desire, don't you? You have the will to choose your own actions, attitudes and whatnot. Free will is real.
The discourse over free will is not the crucial question... The crucial question is over the existence of God and the direct contradictions that are caused if one incorrectly assumes there is a god.
No God... No problem.
Believe in a deity... Oops... Get out the mop and pail.

I can see where you are coming from with this question. If we go shopping we buy what we like? Well we do buy what we like within the confines of the range we are allowed to chose from. We can`t buy or like something that isn`t an option. So as for free will.......................we are free to make choices in life in relation to the range before us./

Without doubt free-will is an illusion of the ego. Its an excuse for doing wrong.

I'm probably a skeptic in saying that it's doubtful you can actually ever know for sure. Arguments can be made for both sides and you'll probably pick the side you want to believe consciously or non.
