He has'nt eaten anything in a week and a half, he barely drinks any water and he stays in the coolest part of a 100 gallon aqaurium (mid 60's F). All lights have been replaced and the only other thing we have changed is adding a plastic plant to the corner that he likes to hide in which we realize might affect his mood but he was like this before we added the plant. Before we take him to a vet, can anyone let us know of any obvious things that we have overlooked. Any help would be much appreciated.

The warm side of the aquarium is high 90's to 100 F. There is no way it is pregnant. There has been no interaction with another beardie.

It's brumation time, assuming that you are in the northern hemisphere.
Adult dragons typically slow down, sleep alot, refuse food and remain in the cool end of the tank during brumation which generally coincides with the shortening days.
If your dragon "wakes up" when you pick him up and seems normal and alert in your hands then it is likely brumation that is causing the other behaviour. If he remains lethargic when handled, has sunken eyes or runny stools then a vet visit is recommended. This site discusses some the characteristics of brumation in beardeds.

Hi Mark, As soon as Ive seen that he stays on the cool side and lost his appetite, I rightaway new it, bud. He hasnt been digesting his food properly, in this case, most commonly its not vitamins (No, vitamins will make your beardie secrete a diffrent coloured dropping) This problem is either caused by no adequate heating (To diffrent tempreatures on each side of the tank) and the second problem might be that he does not have a basking spot/not warm enough basking spot. I hope that helps! Best wishes to you and your beardie! and hopefully no vets will be involved in this, it gets waay too complicated so they can suck as much cash as they can from you. So if you dont have the correct tempreatures or dont have a basking spot/warm enough basking spot, please adjust that, and wait 1-2 days, if there is no positive progress, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT A VISIT TO THE VET'S...NOW

What type of substrate is he on? If sand or other loose substrate he could be impacted. A bacterial infection can also cause these symptoms (my beardie went through the same thing).
If you aren't certain "he" is a male there is also a possibility that she is egg bound. This can happen without the presence of a male, the eggs just aren't fertile. Your beardie needs to see a vet ASAP.

No no longer something in any respect to fret approximately! this is quite regularly occurring. Any animal (such as you) may well be under pressure in the event that they have been given taken away and put in a sparkling habitat multi function day! do no longer worry! he would be nice! He ate properly the day previous to this and he did consume at present! a minimum of he's eating something. purely go away him for this evening and attempt to no longer preserve him as this might purely upload to rigidity. Feed him the next day and if he dosn't consume oftentimes ring your vet. Your temperatures sound proper in spite of the undeniable fact that! Congratulations on your new toddler!

I would have thought that the temperature was on the cool side. There are plenty of dragons in SE Queensland where it's generally from 20 to 30C, which I think is about 80F.
Perhaps it's a she and she's pregnant?

I agree with galapagos6, "he" might be a "she" and she might be egg-bound. If she starts to dig holes check them daily for unfertile eggs. Try giving her a warm bath and see if that helps, beardies like to bathe. Maybe she is impacted? A warm bath will help with impaction. Either way, he or she should see a vet.

What about his vitamins? Do you give him regular calcium supplements? Is he dehydrated? Place him in a warm bath for 15-20 min. replacing the water when it cools. Beardies can suck water thru their cloachea (vent).
