Included in the list of 199 nomines this year are Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales. These two individuals are definately not pro-democracy. What guidelines are used by the Nobel Committee to chose a winner? Is there a possibility that Geoge W. Bush could win?

Anyone who thinks that the Nobel committee is made up of lefties is too stupid to breathe. Look it up.
Bush could win the Nobel Peace Prize only if everyone in the world except his mother was dead.
Anyone can be nominated.
The world is in a terrible period of death, destruction, wholesale murder and rape, fraudulent health care providers who prey on the elderly, insurers who won't honor their contracts, and so on.
Where does peace fit in?

It's easy to be nominated for the prize. The fact that Chavez and Bush have been nominated proves that.

Winning is another matter entirely. I don't know of anyone really deserving of the award this year.

The new British Prime minister would be good for next year. He significantly reduced the troop size in Iraq.
