Is teeth-bleaching recommended during pregnancy?

Your dentist should be able to tell you better, but it should be ok. Most whitening strips are just a form of hydrogen peroxide that lifts and bleaches the stains off your teeth. When hydrogen peroxide breaks down, it just becomes water and oxygen. All the same, I'd check with your dentist to be sure.

My dentist said absolutely not recommended and he wouldn't do it. Why take the chance?

I read in several pregnancy books that it was not a good idea.
