I like both names very much, but they don't sound good together because they both end in "a".

Both names are pretty but maybe don't flow as well as they could.
Sofia might sound better with a 3-syllable middle name or a simple 1-syllable name. For example:
Sofia Maria (or Sofia Marie)
Sofia Gianna
Sofia Christina (or Sofia Christine if you don't want to over do the names ending in A)
OR
Sofia Rose
Sofia Anne

I think they are both pretty names, but I kind of like Ava Sofia better. I think it flows better. Whatever you like though!
GOOD LUCK!

I always believed in a bit of a longer name so the kid can tool around with nicknames and find a likeable one... my oldest daughter Rosetta likes Zetta (she could go by etta, rose, rosey, rosa...) so she has options my youngest has more options it's McKayla (her are some nicknames) Kayla,Kaya, Ayla, Kay, May, Mckay, Mckaya, Maya, Mya, Myla, McKyla, Kyla I am sure I could find more.
