Do you prefer to write in a paper journal or do you use your computer? Or is everything you journal online? What's your preferred method, basically...?

I've been keeping a journal on and off for the last 20 years. I've kept both on line and on paper journals. In the long run, my prefer the paper journal. I keep a small notebook that fits in my purse so I can pull it out anytime I have a something to say. It is much more convenient and allows for more spontaneity in my writing. I've started looking forward to waiting at the Doctor's office, or sitting down for a coffee at Starbucks knowing that I'll have a few minutes to write.
With computers, I've up-graded so many times over the years, it isn't always easy to move everything to a new hard drive.
There is something romantic writing in a journal. Something about going back years later and reading your own hand writing. In my journal I can add sketches, horoscopes that appeal to me, photos or silly little fortune cookie messages.
I am definitely a paper journal girl.

I do both. I've been using my computer lately, but I'm terrified that I'll lose my data. I love the paper journal though because I can look back at it. I love looking through my old journals (I've been writing for about 14 years now)!

I prefer to write in a book form journal. Although it is old-fashioned I enjoy the activity of writing. You have to do what you feel most comfortable with.

I prefer the paper journal, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting it on line, someone can always find out your pass word, the paper one can be hidden.

I use paper because I use my journals to track my anxieties and to keep track of when I have panick attacks. I use this information to remember for Cognitive Behavioural therapy.

online journal. i find it hard to write with hands.. lol i guess i'm just a lazy person. i have a blog on xanga.. and it's been about 3 years. i haven't blogged as much, but i still write on it.

i like a journal cuzi'm afraid someone will be able to read it easier if its on the computer. but whatever works for you!

I do both. I like to use calligraphy to illustrate my hand written ones. I think it would be come more of a keepsake for my sons with the calligraphy as well as my thoughts in the future.
