The military gets drug tested, athletes get drug tested, the corporate world gets drug tested, so do some state employees. Why shouldn't members of congress, the judicial and the executive branch get drug tested with the results made public? Also, I would like to know how many of the people making decisions about our nation are taking percription psych meds.
Nancy Pelosi blinks a lot. I think she's on psych meds. I think I have the right to know. What do you think?

Ohiofirefighter, what was it about your answer that caused someone to give you a thumb down? Would the person who did this please explain what you didn't like about his answer?

massive, Rush (I'm assuming you mean R. Limbaugh) is self employed and not a member of the govt. It's nobody's business what drugs he does. (Hopefully none.)

Umbrella, I would only like to know about prescription psych meds or other things that could effect their decision making abilities. In a republic, the people have a right to know these things.

Is there any way I can start a petition to make this happen? Does anyone know the law on this?

Zorcan, I don't know about Igore. I'll have to take your word for it. Like Rush, he's also not in govt. and therefore it's his business what drugs he takes (again, hopefully none.)

They'd never drug test each other. They consider themselves held to a higher standard. I don't think it would hurt to drug test them but it would never happen.

And you don't have a right to know what prescription drugs they're on. Medical info is private. (Assuming they have a legal prescription and they're not using something that could compromise their job or put others in harms way).

I don't know what your observation about a single member of Congress means, but sure...all members, at random, should be tested as a Representative of the people..BTW...Ever see Rush try to sit still??

If President Bush isn't being treated for ADHD, he darn well should be. I like the guy, but the symptoms are deffinitely there. He might need a little Rittilin or something.
