What was she taking the 12 or so drugs for? What was she needing them for? What illness or condition did she need them for? And also, why would a doctor prescribe her so many (12!!!!!)
Also, I know it was accidental, but was she addicted?

Many famous people abuse drugs.
Authorities investigating Smith's death retrieved a "large amount" of prescription medicine from her hotel room, law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation said.
The prescription drugs were in the name of Smith's lawyer and boyfriend, Howard K. Stern, and included Valium and antibiotics, a law enforcement source said. Over-the-counter drugs, including cold and flu medicines, also reportedly were found.
Smith checked into the hotel on Monday with Stern.
Smith's attorney, Ron Rale, told reporters his client had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for the last couple of days. (Watch what might have led to Smith's death )

Yes, she was addicted to prescription drugs! I can't remember what all of them were, but I do know she was taking some kind of pain killers, and some kind of antidepressant, anyway, the fact that she was mixing them, and they said there were two in particular that could be very
harmful/deadly if mixed together, which is what she did. And also, she had the flu, and probably her system was run down from that also, so it was just pretty much a combination of these things!
As far as why the doctor prescribed so many pills to her, well my guess is that it probably had something to do with MONEY!

She was not taking them because she was sick. Hasn't the number of interviews in which she was almost entirely incoherent assured you that she was on drugs a lot, for a long time, and hardcore.

i kno she was on a lot of pills to lose the baby weight and she allways was a druggie. also she had slight depression and something else, maybe the doctor prescribed them over time.
