I guess it's how you would define dynasty. They haven't won a World Series since 2000, which is something of an eternity. I think the dynasty part problem ended with Arizona's rally in Game Seven in 2001, which is why Buster Olner called his book The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty.
You'd expect the Yankees to reload this winter, but they had better find some more starting pitching.

I think the Dynasty came to an end awhile ago. The team now just doesnt have the same chemistry it did when they won in '96, '98, '99, & '00.
They need to stop spending so much to get big named players and concentrate more on bringing kids up from the minors.
The Yankees will be back soon, I guarantee it.

I don't think so,they just got eliminated. Once the Yankee's organization starts to shop around the free agency market, for younger pitchers,a few trades, bye bye to some other players. You will see a better team,Specially the pitching that's the Yank's major weakness. The bottom line is that the GM who ever will be has to make wise decisions and not spending huge amounts of money like the Clemens case of 28M's for just 18 games,Once the team completes their restructure, Then is time to get what belongs to the NEW YORK YANKEE'S,their "CHAMPIONSHIP" title and bringing it back to 'ALL NEW YORKERS & THE YANKEES STADIUM !

Of course not. When an owner such as Steinbrenner is willing to spend money to field a contending team every year the Yankees will continue to challenge. Fans of every other team should be so fortunate to have the assurance their team could win every season.
