a neutron bomb is a nuclear bomb.It is not a hydrogen bomb thou.A neutron bomb is a tactical weapon. They were designed different to the standard atom bomb. They were designed so that instead of creating mass destruction, the idea was to kill people through radiation and not heat and blast (not like the atom bomb).Atom bombs kill people through blast, heat and radiation but the neutron bomb was made so it caused minimal damage to structure and not let out so much heat so people don't catch fire or burn to death.it kills people through radiation. They are generally smaller to the standard atom bomb.Because it is a neutron bomb, most of the neutrons are absorbed by the air (as air contains neutrons) so the effects are limited.Imagine a bomb going off,you see the the huge blast and heat covering a huge radius. Now imagine that but smaller and only containing radiation. You won't see damage to buildings etc but people inside the radius get a huge dose of radiation. This is why they are a tactical weapon.
It is not a neutron bomb, but have a look for footage on the Tsar bomb nicknamed Ivan. The biggest bomb ever made and set of by the Russian's.The footage is great!
