I think it's a type of torture.........lol I just thought it was the clocks where I worked because there have been times when I looked at the time and it would be like 1:30 and after about 2 hrs, I'd look up again and it would be 1:42......huh?? ;-)

I believe it's the "system" being honest
yet in a concealed way.

Those who are privy to it are laughed at
or about, and brushed off as "conspiracy
theorists". But here's my take:

The minute hand does this so as to remind
every student that before they're granted
escape or, time off, that they're held back
via sanctioned retardation.

Pull back (dumbed-down) then let go (free,
at last!). Meanwhile, everyone who won't
accept this says, "Nuh-uh, that isn't it".

Let the readers decide.

I'm not in school any more, but at work, I know that every time I look at the clock, it is five min. earlier than the last time I looked. I feel your pain. Really I do.
