My kids first names are very traditional and Biblical: Gabriella, Zachary and Hannah.
Their middle names are all family names that tie them to our family line.
It was a way of giving them a unique first name (wings), but roots in their middle names.

My ex and I could not agree on a name. I liked Dylan James, he wanted Zachariah (see, I'm divorced from the idiot now hahaha) Anyway, we decided to both go thru the baby names book and write 10-15 names we were sure we liked. When we compared our list there was only one that that we both had...Aaron. I still wanted to use the James and again he tried to buck it he wanted Aaron Zachariah. I settled for Aaron Zachary. Well, just recently I told my son (he's 11 now) that I had wanted the James because it was my fathers middle name but his dad didn't want it) No big deal UNTIL my father passed away a few months ago and now my son wants us to add James to his name. He was VERY close with my dad. So I've got o research adding James. He'd have 4 names but said that he'd prefer to be Aaron James.

I thought long and even prayed before I named my two daughters. I wanted their names to mean something, not just be some popular name from a book.
My first is Sarah Elizabeth. It means a princess dedicated to God. I want my daughters to know God loves them and has a good plan for their lives.
My last is Christina Rose. It means christlike flower.
My first child came easily and joyfully. My Tina was born after 3 miscarriages in a row. The rose part of her name came from a Bible verse in Isaiah that says, "where the thorn plant has been, the flowering tree will grow." She was my flower after the thorn of 3 losses. I tend to favor biblical names, but not all of them, some are weird!

For my daughter's name, me & my husband chose it out of a baby name book called Popular & Unusual Baby Names. They had taken all the names from people born in CA in 1969 & put them in the book (mine being one of them) :-) My son ended up being named after a soap opera character :-) My daughter's middle name is a family name & my son's middle name is his father's first name :-)

We found the name Madison in a baby name book and fell in love with it. Her middle name, Emily came from her Great Grandmother.

For my daughter...her father chose her first name (I think so I wouldn't name her after my mother) lol and I chose her middle name from this adorable little girl I used to take care of in the church nursery! For my son...we both chose his first name and his middle name is his fathers first name!
