my husband recently took out money from our savings account; persumably hoping i would not find out; i recently recieved a letter mailed to him, to refinance a piece of property, but im sure we never bought that togehter because the amount does not look familiar at all! how could i find out what he bought? can i run a credit check with his social security? would it tell me what he owns?

If you know the county go to the register of deeds office that is public record.

You can't legally run a credit check against his record even though you're married to him.

You might pull your own credit though. If he's hiding assets it's possible that he's used your name and income to get qualified for loans, etc.

Personally, I'd be consulting with an attorney if my spouse were hiding things of that nature from me. And it wouldn't be a real estate attorney!
