The MS Office site has a good explanation...

If it turns out that you don't have a duplex printer, you'll have to manually print one side of the paper, then reinsert the paper and print the other side.
You'll need to know the orientation the printer is using when it prints. The easiest way to do this is use a blank sheet of paper and mark it with an arrow or and X indicating the TOP and the FRONT of the paper as it sits in the printer stack. Then when turn the paper over to print on the opposite side you'll know how to reinsert the paper.

Hi, this may sound lame but printing on both sides is a printer feature and not the softwares so what I usually do is just flip the paper and put it in again but it needs some practice so that it prints it out properly. Hope I helped!
Good Luck and take care!

Without have a duplex feature on your printer you can't do it automatically. You will have to manual feed the paper to print on back side, remember that depending what your printing, if the ink is still wet, wait until its dry before you print on the other side.

Listen to Tofu, this is a quick, easy, and cheap way of getting to print on both sides when a printer does not do it automatically.

You can do it this way, when printing, choose to print odd pages only
then collect the paper; put in blank side up, print the even pages now.
