It is 1400, divided by the 4 lines, but you do not have to split the minutes evenly, one like could use 1000minutes, another 100, and another 200, and another 100, and that is fine!
Don't forget with verizon you get unlimited night and weekends as well as unlimited verizon to verizon, that cuts down on your minute usage condiserably, nearly 62million verizon customers in the U.S. I believe now, many "IN", (verizon to verizon) people to call.
You should wait to sign up until the new phones come out if the iPhone or any other such technology interest you, or the teens which I am guessing you are putting on this account...
the new phones verizon is coming out with incldue the venus, the voyager, and the juke, as well as the pearl, which is a PDA... they will be sweet phones!
Hope to see you in the network soon :)
I am a salesperson for verizon by the way
Let me correct the person who responded after me, you can get unlimited texting for all 4 lines, and a fifth line if you later choose to add one for $30 a month (this is on the select plan)! that includes verizon AND non verizon customers, as well as email adresses, yahoo msger, aim, and msn msger! :)

The 1400 is divided by all 4 of you, I have one in my family, four of us share 2300 minutes and we will still occasionally go over.

divided between all lines. Also, if you add a texting plan, that price (either $5 for 250 messages, or $10 for unlimited) and amount of texts per a number-say you have 4 lines, all wanting unlimited texting, instead of adding the $10 to your whole bill, they add $40. This gets kind of confusing.
Also, on the share plan ABSOLUTELY make sure they add any extra, chosen features to the correct lines, and not all-and double check your bill. I've had them add internet on a number that belonged to a phone that couldn't even access the web, and I've had them give a 250 message text plan to a number that sends more than 1000 texts a month-resulting in a $100+ charge on a line that is supposed to be $10 a month. Be wary and always double check when they add things-even insurance, there have been times when they didn't add insurance to the right number when we asked for it, and it resulted in a phone not being able to be replaced after damage due to their mistake.
