i will not use shampoo that has been animal tested...i will not buy puppies from pet shops since most of them were raised in puppy mills...i will nto bring my children to a circus that has animals..its cruel to make them do that stuff after they have been frightened to do so...animals may not have the ability to make highways, ,cars..and such...however they have feelings and perceive pain just as much as we do...

I am a animal lover. I would not be able to stand by when someone hurts an animal. These people do not take long to turn on humans next, as hurting and killing is part of their makeup. I don't know if they were brought up mean and not loving like my family. We had a dog when I was a kid. I have had several different animals as an adult. I have had fish, birds, hamsters, snakes, and dogs. In the past 22 years I have always had a pet. Right now I have a Golden Labrador Retriever. My previous two dogs, brother and sister, lived for 17 years and my cockateil lived 21 years. These people that abuse animals should have the same treatment they dish out and maybe then they would learn a lesson. An eye for an eye as they say.

Its very wrong and horrific. People who do it are obviously mentally ill. No one in their right mind would abuse an innocent animal. I cannot imagine someone hurting my dog. I treat him like he's my own child and it would break my heart if someone hurt him. I used to work as a pet-sitter and one of the things I would look for when taking care of my clients' pets was signs of potential abuse. I never had to call the SPCA thank god. Animal abuse is illegal and perpetrators should be severely prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Many perps get fines or little jail time, or even get acquitted. But the good thing is that many of them are banned from owning any other animals for the rest of their lives. Hopefully the innocent animal rescued from the perp's sick world is able to be placed into a good, loving home. Animal-abuse is not easily prevented but it can be reduced by rescuing animals and putting them into good, loving, stable homes. My ex-boyfriend's dog Buddy was severely abused before he came to my ex's family. Because of the abuse, Buddy has emotional problems, among other physical ailments. Animals never forget who abused them and who loved them. So they are the ones who unfortunately suffer the most.

It's sick. thats all i have to say. I vollenteer at the local vet/animal shelter and you can't imagine what ive seen. It makes me want to shoot the person in the head, because those poor animals deserve better. little animals like, rabbits. ferrets, kittens puppies and grown cats can't defend themselves against a human to well, especially if there declawed. I hate it so much. I wish I could take them all in =]
We have so many in shelters becuas of it. why would someone want to do that?? It's so sick. One cat at the shelter was abused so bad his ribs are crooked he limps and his tail had to be amputated. And a ferret was burned by his owner. A taped up box of starved kittens and there mom were found on the side of the road, and a dog was left in a house after there owns moved away and purposely left him there with nothing to eat or drink. I hope every animal abuser rots in hell for what they do.

It is one of the most horrific abuses on the planet and should be criminalized. I am not a physical person but I think if I saw someone beating or abusing an animal, I could very well become one!

People who deliberately ill treat animals are usually psychopaths, who have no emotional feelings and enjoy inflicting pain on animals and humans. The Gestapo and S.S. employed such people to interrogate prisoners, as no normal person with human feelings, could do it. They are in reality, mentally unbalanced! Have a great day.

Animal abuse is wrong in most cases and none should be abused. Although, the killing of rabbits, seals and toads can be justified to control the level of animals. Rabbits and Toads can be an invasive species and destroy environments. Abuse should not be the word to describe those because most often they are killed instantly in the least painfull way.

People that abuse animals should be put away or maybe they should be treated the way that they abused the animal then maybe it will stop

It's terrible. Think about it - we;re mammals too, so imagine if some higher life form came along and started abusing us. It would suck. In terms of domestic pet owners, if you're going to mistreat you pet, don't get it in the first place.
