If you mean the 1978 playoff game between the Red Sox and Yankees for the AL East title, "the" home run was popped by Yankees SS Bucky F. Dent, but there were also shots by Reggie and Yaz.

I'd still put Yaz at the plate with two outs in the ninth, except this time he wouldn't pop up.

If you are a Yankee fan, but a stupid one, you may have been referring to the walkoff home run by Chris Chambliss in game 5 of the 1976 ALCS to clinch the pennant over the Royals. The Red Sox and Yankees did not meet in the 1976 playoffs. That was 1978, 1999, 2003 and 2004.
