They removed a question of mine's a while back and i don't understand why I couldn't get my points back since they deleted it and the same thing if I remove a question? Why can't I get thoes points or my question back? I mean I did this today when I accidently hit the button twice to post the question and it posted twice and I removed one but my points were still gone and so was the number of questions I can ask. Why is that?

usually if they remove a question, it is in some way impropper. Therefore, your "punishment" is loss of points for violating the rules. Be happy all you lost is a few points. What if they banned you for life? I would not be able to get these two (and possibly 12) points for this answer. Besides, points are not redeemable for anything except bragging rights and levels.

because you might still get your help but just removed it because you didn't want it to be up anymore, but that sucks that you got points taken away , but still it doesn't make much difference I don't care much about that points ( except when I get best answer) and if they remove yor question then it said something bad so you shouldn't get the points back

I don't make the rules!

I had an answer deleted and instead of loosing two points they took ten. The answer was totally legal, so I appealed the decision. Then I got an e mail back saying "sorry we don't arbitrate one on one with customers about our decision blah blah blah" Well what is the point of appealing?

I suppose Y! is trying to discourage people from removing questions... which is stupid because of all the double posted questions, I think.

Yahoo! does as it pleases. It's their site, so they make up the rules, sometimes as they go along. They remind me of my mother, everything always depended on her mood at the time. If Yahoo! had a decent reason for doing the things they do, then they would spell it out when doing it and giving violations. Instead they tell you to figure it out.

It's punishment...for them having to delete your question or for asking a question that you remove for whatever reason.

You actually care about the point system? YA is more about learning and fun not to see who can the most points. what are we in grade 2 again playing Pokemon and seeing who could be the ultimate trainer
