Almost everyone with enough intelligence to ask the questions that parents always answer with "because" will lose their way in Life. What separates the interesting people from everyone else is whether they later discover their "true way" (which more often than not involves joining a cult, or making a cult out of some career path), or realize that there is no specific way. In fact, there isn't a specific destination.

Everything you need to know about your way in life is in Cat Stevens' song "If you want to sing out"

Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
'Cause there's a million things to be
You know that there are

And if you want to live high, live high
And if you want to live low, live low
'Cause there's a million ways to go
You know that there are

You can do what you want
The opportunity's on
And if you can find a new way
You can do it today

You can make it all true
And you can make it undo

Yes, I lost my way when I was in my youth and I still haven't found a way to get back on track, I don't think a way exists, but I'm still here. Don't fret, you will survive no matter what happens, believe me. ;-)

what once was lost, but now is found.

just because you're not on the path you thought you would be does not mean it's the wrong path... everything happens for a reason you just don't know it yet.

many times..
and the best thing to do is to go back to the starting line and look at the path that you have traveled..
and whenever i feel uncertain, i go back to basics..
why am i doing this in the first place? for whom? is it in accordance to my goal? i ask such to myself..go back to your starting line and have a clearer vision on your path whenever you lost in the way..^_^
