You are in a position of power over that person and to be involved in a personal relationship with them is highly unethical.

Think about it. How would your feelings toward your player change if the personal relationship ended? Would you kick them off the team (assuming it's a team sport), cut back their playing time, or something else that can be seen as harmful to that player? You could do all those things without repercussion (maybe a lot of griping) if you are just the coach. Once you become involved, you open yourself up to a world of grief and very likely legal problems (sexual harrassment, anyone?), whether justified or not.

To negatively paraphrase Nike: Just don't do it.

See, to me, this question is a bit of a paradox.

Since I'm only 32, 25 years younger would be not legal, or even remotely close to it.

If I were older than 32, would I consider it? Eh - probably not. I personally would want to be around somebody at least remotely close to my current age. 25 years would be too much of a spread for me.

Absolutely not....too much risk that you would be accused of using your power over her as a coach and your age. Of course, if you really wanted to, I suppose you could ask her parents' permission if she said she wants to date you. But it is still a bad idea if you are the coach - the teammates would lose respect for you.
Besides, even if you worked out now, she would divorce you when you are old and grouchy and ready to retire and she is still young
