Depends on what's being done, for what reasons, and if the parents can afford it. If their grad's aim is to look like a certain Playboy Bunny or celebrity, no! But, if their nose, cleft palate or sunk-in chin ruins their otherwise good looks, I'd say, see a Certified Plastic Surgeon and discuss it with him/her.

Not at all. It sends a message to them that they're ugly (even if they are not) and that they need to be improved. I would have been insulted if I had gotten that as a graduation gift. Give them a laptop instead. It's handy for college.
